For coaches, consultants and advisors who run their practice on HoneyBook
HoneyBook books the session.TalentCafe runs it.
Proposals, contracts, invoices, a scheduler, a portal. HoneyBook does the paperwork of a client relationship well. So does TalentCafe: a CRM, a calendar, contracts whose fields fill in from the package, invoices, booking pages. What TalentCafe is built around is the other side of the relationship: the session itself, the recap drawn from the room, the plan between sessions and what you sell beyond the hour.
$199 a month. One plan, nothing gated, nothing priced per seat.
No card. 14 days of everything, then you stay free with up to 3 active clients.
Example practice. Not a customer.

What HoneyBook is built around
Signed, paid, booked. Then the hour itself.
HoneyBook’s headline is “Manage every client, project, and payment all in one place,” and it does. So does TalentCafe. The difference is what each product was built around. If your work is a project with a beginning and an end, the way a wedding or a brand launch is, HoneyBook’s smart files and project pipeline are the better tools for it, and this page will not argue.
Its own page for coaches opens with “Focus on your clients’ progress while your CRM handles scheduling, contracts, and payments.” The progress is the part it leaves with you. That is the part TalentCafe was built for.
The same client, four months in
A project has an arc. An engagement has a room.
On HoneyBook, month four is a paid invoice, a booked call and the notetaker’s notes on it. On TalentCafe the call itself runs in the room, and the plan that follows lives where the client can see it.
On HoneyBook
The proposal went out as a smart file
Reviewed, signed and paid in one flow, with the reminders automated.
The scheduler books the session
And generates a Zoom or Google Meet link for it through your own account.
The notetaker joins the call
As a participant named after you. It writes a transcript, summary notes and action items into the project.
The portal holds the paperwork
“contracts, invoices, and session information,” in HoneyBook’s words.
The project has a pipeline stage
With tasks along the way, and automations sending what comes next.
On TalentCafe
The engagement starts from a package and a contract
The contract fills in from the package you picked, is signed by everyone who needs to sign, and the invoice goes out under your practice address.
The booking is the room
The session runs in the browser, joined by link. Nothing to install, no account for the guest.
The captions are already in the room
The recap is drawn from the session’s own transcript and the notes you took. You decide whether the client sees it.
The portal holds the engagement
Their sessions and their plan, under your logo, at no cost to them.
The plan is checked off between sessions
Drafted with AI, assigned to the client and checked off week by week, while the series recurs on the calendar.
Growing past the calendar
Sell something that is not an hour.
One-to-one runs out of hours. Every way through is on the one plan, and most of them start from a description rather than a blank page.
Courses
Describe one and the AI drafts the outline, the modules and the lessons inside them. It ends with a certificate in your name, issued when every lesson is done.
Paid memberships
A community with its spaces drafted for you, and tiers you price monthly or yearly.
Group programs
A cohort drafted from a description, with its live sessions laid out for you to move.
Events and retreats
Drafted with ticket tiers and an agenda. Registration, waitlists, itineraries, rooming and add-ons.
Newsletters and sequences
A drafted issue with its cover image. Sequences where each step is a task or an email you approve.
Lead pages and a pipeline
At your own slug, feeding a pipeline with stages you set, and a referral program on terms you choose.
“I used to pay 4 different people really good money for what TalentCafe does. I wish I would’ve known about it even sooner.”
Getting paid
Your Stripe account, Stripe’s rate.
HoneyBook processes your clients’ payments itself and sets the processing rate. Here a client’s payment is charged on your own Stripe account.
You keep what you charge. Stripe bills its processing fee directly at its own rate. We do not add to it and we do not take a cut.
Your domain, not a subdomain of it.
HoneyBook can put its client portal on a subdomain of yours, and from its Essentials plan the “Powered by HoneyBook” line comes off. On TalentCafe it is your apex domain, your logo and your email address, on the one plan.
Leaving
Bring the people. The paperwork can stay.
HoneyBook lets you download your contacts as a spreadsheet: Clients, then Contacts, then Download spreadsheet. Drop that file in and the AI reads the columns and says which is which.
The notes column comes with it
Name, email, phone, address and the notes you kept. Uncertain matches are flagged, not guessed. No HoneyBook preset yet; the file is read column by column.
Undo the import for 72 hours
One button removes the whole batch.
What stays in HoneyBook
The paid invoices and the project history. A signed contract you want on file can be uploaded here as a PDF.

What it costs
$199 a month, and a floor under it.
One plan, month to month, or $159 a month paid yearly, $1,908 billed once. Under it is a floor rather than a wall: 14 days free with no card, then up to 3 active clients for as long as you like.
Paid yearly, HoneyBook is $29 a month on Starter, $49 on Essentials and $109 on Premium, with its scheduler, automations and the option to remove “Powered by HoneyBook” starting at Essentials.
Paid yearly, HoneyBook’s Essentials is $49 a month, $110 a month less than ours, and Premium is $109, $50 a month less than ours. What that comparison leaves out is who else can use it. HoneyBook’s help center says the Starter plan cannot add any team members, Essentials can add up to two and Premium is unlimited. TalentCafe is one price for the practice at any size, so nobody you add changes the bill and no feature waits behind a higher plan.
No per-seat pricing
Bring your whole practice. The number of people in it does not change the bill.
“I was honestly wondering why is so cheap. You get a lot for your money.”
No card. 14 days of everything, then you stay free with up to 3 active clients.

The questions a HoneyBook customer asks.
Does TalentCafe handle the paperwork HoneyBook handles?
Contracts and invoices, yes, alongside a CRM pipeline, scheduling, a practice calendar, booking pages and lead pages. You build a contract from your own template and the service, the number and length of sessions, the fee and the deposit fill in from the package you linked it to. Everyone who needs to sign signs online, and the invoice goes out under your practice address with the payment charged on your own Stripe account. There is no separate proposal document: HoneyBook bundles those steps into one smart file, TalentCafe keeps them as a package, a contract and an invoice.
HoneyBook already books my Zoom call and writes the notes. What is different?
On HoneyBook the scheduler generates a Zoom or Google Meet link through your own account, and the notetaker joins that call as a participant to write a transcript, summary notes and action items. On TalentCafe the session runs in the browser, joined by link; the captions run inside the room, the recap is drawn from them and the notes you took, and the plan that follows is assigned to the client in their portal.
What can TalentCafe’s AI actually make for me?
Describe a course and TalentCafe’s AI drafts the outline, the modules and the lessons inside them, ready for you to fill in. Describe a membership and it drafts the community and its spaces, or a group program and it lays out the sessions for you to move. It also drafts an event with ticket tiers and an agenda, a newsletter issue with its cover image and a reusable contract template carrying your placeholders. Everything arrives as a draft, and nothing is published until you say so. The certificate a course ends with is the one thing you design yourself, once.
Is HoneyBook cheaper than TalentCafe?
On the subscription, yes, at every plan. Paid yearly, HoneyBook is $29 a month on Starter, $49 on Essentials and $109 on Premium, against TalentCafe’s $159, or $199 month to month. What that leaves out is who else can use it: HoneyBook’s help center says the Starter plan cannot add any team members, Essentials can add up to two and Premium is unlimited, while TalentCafe is one price for the practice at any size.
What happens if I stop paying?
On TalentCafe you keep working. The 14 days need no card, and when they end you land on a free tier holding up to 3 active clients and 10 AI summaries a month, with everything you have already put in, and you can export all of it from Settings at any time. HoneyBook’s help center says that after canceling you will still have access to all existing projects and information, but you will no longer be able to create new files, projects, or send messages.
Can I bring my HoneyBook contacts over?
Download them from HoneyBook as a CSV, from Clients, then Contacts, then Download spreadsheet: name, email, phone, address and notes. Drop that file into TalentCafe and its AI reads the columns and says which is which, flagging anything it is unsure of rather than guessing, and remembers the layout for next time. A whole import can be undone for 72 hours.
Who is behind TalentCafe?
Three people, in the United States, and there is no support tier between you and the person who wrote the code you are asking about. We cannot speak for HoneyBook’s support, so we will not.
Start with the clients you already have on HoneyBook.
Download the spreadsheet this afternoon and drop it in. 14 days, no card. If the room is not better than the call you have now, you have spent an afternoon and nothing else.
